Matt and Carrie Eddmenson have created a line handcrafted jeans some of which are made with Cone Denim and produced with vintage looms in North Carolina. They a have a great assortment of jeans in store ready to be tailored for your ideal fit. Imogene + Willie also offers some awesome basics, from a way too perfect muscle tee, vintage army jackets, chambray button ups and a versatile black leather bag! Not only do they carry wardrobe staples the store also has home accessories including dry massage brushes, woven baskets, and the Imogene + Willie signature candle. The one of a kind items that accessorize the store with rich history and deep acknowledgement of quality and craftsmanship. The Portland Store is immaculately curated from the amazing vintage hangers, the southwestern rugs, repurposed school lockers, the subtle touches of turquoise, coral and sterling, down to the way too comfy, beautifully worn leather couch, and, of course, that taxidermy Oryx greeting you when you walk in!

1. Tell us about Imogene + Willie
imogene and willie is a clothing and lifestyle brand based in Nashville, TN, that opened up in 2009. Our new Portland store is located at 1306 West Burnside and has been open a little over two months.
2. What made you decide to open a store front in Portland?
It’s freaking Portland! Come one! There was no decision! We love it here!
3. How did you come up with the name Imogene and willie?
The name imogene and willie came from Carrie’s maternal grandparents.
4. What are your top 3 favorite things in the store?
Imogene+Willie x Apothia candle, our Henley, and our newest women’s jean, Lucy.
5. What’s a funny shop story you have?
Our funniest shop story is that a lady from Nashville came into the store and told us her name is Imogene Willie! True story! She said that everyone in her neighborhood asked her if she opened up a blue jean store! So funny…
6. Tell us two truths and a lie
Portland makes me want to ride a bicycle. I have a bicycle. I ride my bicycle everywhere.
