The fourth annual Content at the Ace Hotel did not disappoint. The second floor of the hotel is parceled out by room to 28 hand selected local designers that have hours (literally hours) to decorate their room to represent their brand as well as display product. Each room offers a totally different experience from a interactive video presentation that Tanner Goods had to an homage to Romeo and Juliet (and yes the one with Claire Danes and Leo DiCaprio) by shoe brand TBA. Designers go all out, the dudes from Shwoods killed with recreating their wood shop on the second floor of the Ace including the their laser cutter that was making mini sunglass key chains all night. There was also a pop up shop in the Ace Cleaners curated by Pamela Baker-Miller of Francis May that sold goods from the featured designers. The photos speak for themselves about how interactive, personal and fun the event is. All the rooms were stellar but some of our personal favorites were Lift Label, Seaecho, Norwood and Reif, all with some solid ready wear pieces designed right here in Portland.
